I can full empathize with Kevin Quirk's rationale for why he has pulled out all the IndieWeb plugins from his WordPress site. I've nothing against the IndieWeb movement, but it feels like it's still in the early stages of its development. It reminds me of what Linux used to be like, back when I first tried it in the early 2000s.
I'll keep an eye on how the technologies underpinning IndieWeb develop, but for now, I've decided that it's not worth the extra maintenance work on my site. 🤷
Instead, I'm going to look at creating a proper contact page, preferably one that discourages extra spam, adding to my Feeds page, and maybe adding some pages for blogrolls and other info.
